About Us

Founded in 1997 by Lisa and Chris Bright, Earth Sangha is a nonprofit public charity based in the Washington, DC, region. Our mission is ecological restoration as a form of socially engaged Buddhism. Our work is secular and science-based.

Volunteer-based program to propagate native plants and restore native plant communities in the DC area.

Wild Plant Nursery

Works with the Naso people in northwestern Panama to improve livelihoods and conserve forests.
